Event flyer

The Lake Worth Interfaith Network will host a program celebrating the United Nations-sponsored International Peace Day. The evening will open with brief prayers for peace from various faith traditions - Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Baha’i. The evenings’ featured speakers are Barbara Eriv of the Palm Beach County Indivisible Immigration Coalition and Mariana Blanco, Associate Executive Director of the Guatemalan-Maya Center. Both speakers and their organizations are providing advocacy and support for the immigrant population in Palm Beach County. The program will be followed by a pot luck supper and fellowship. Participants may also participate in an immersive art project highlighting their feelings on immigration reform. Writing materials will be provided so that participants can express their views on the impact of current immigration policies; these written documents will be forwarded to elected officials. The program is free and open to all; bring a dish to share. A love offering will benefit the Palm Beach County Indivisibles and the Guatemalan Center.
