Soul Walk is a new initiative created by the City of Tampa and includes multiple community partners, among them are Related Urban and the Tampa Housing Authority.

Artwork that is commissioned or purchased for Soul Walk will form part of a visual narrative that celebrates the spirit and soul of Tampa’s African American Community. More information.


QUANTUM ECO PARK | City of Boynton Beach

The City of Boynton Beach Public Art Program seeks an artist to join the design team for the new 60-acre Quantum Eco Park at approximately 3111 Quantum Blvd, Boynton Beach, Florida.

Develop affordable artistic ideas for the new Eco Park in collaboration with the design team for the current and future park development. In the first phase, the artistic ideas can be implemented without significant additional cost to the construction of the landscape or park elements. The artistic ideas for future park development may include direct artist creations such as sculptures or ornamental gateways. These future creations may be artworks by the contracted artist or other artists. More information

Recycled Material Art Project | City of Boca Raton
Due November 15, 2021

The City of Boca Raton has begun accepting applications for a Recycled Material Art Project, to be located at the main entrance of South Beach Park.

The “Call to Artists” requests idea submissions from artists skilled in visual arts, with extensive experience using recycled/re-purposed materials, such as discarded plastics and items found on the beaches. Proposed artwork should encourage creative ways to repurpose, recycle, conserve, and educate the community about the harmful effects of pollution and plastics on marine life, and inspire sustainable actions through an aesthetically pleasing artistic creation. The selected artist will receive a stipend for expenses (such as paint, supplies, site preparation, installation, and cleanup). More information

Thriving Through Adversity | Arts Garage

This collection of work documents the artistic interpretations by Black artists of the systemic social injustice that remains in our world. The exhibit highlights how social injustice is embedded in the laws and regulations of our community and is manifested in areas such as criminal justice, employment, housing, health care, political power, and education. Ms. Dina Baker has established the Dina Baker Fund for Mature Female Artists with the Cultural Council to help stabilize and strengthen the careers of female Artists sixty (60) years of age or older who reside and work in Palm Beach County, who have recognizable artistic merit and who are deserving of financial assistance (whether professional, personal or both) to enable them to further their artistic development and achievement.
A grant of $10,000 is awarded to one individual meeting the eligibility requirements and demonstrating artistic merit and financial need. Funds can be used to support professional development, arts related exhibition expenses, equipment, supplies, healthcare costs and/or basic living expenses. In addition, the recipient receives a one-year Artist Portfolio membership from the Cultural Council and a solo show in the Cultural Council gallery. More information

We are looking artists/artisans to submit work to be sold at the Cultural Council’s Roe Green Uniquely Palm Beach Store. If you’re an artist who works on small dioramas or sculptures, glass works and other objects d’art OR jewelry—necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings—we want you! All price ranges and styles/material are welcome.

Applicants must live or work in Palm Beach County for at least 6 months of the year AND be a member of the Cultural Council.

Teaching Artists Wanted

Resource Depot is seeking teaching artists for our after school program through Prime Time of Palm Beach County. Our teaching artists go out to local after school sites & conduct 6, 1 hour long classes through a span of 6 weeks. We are looking for a candidate who has a flexible schedule, as this is considered a part time, independent contractor position. All classes incorporate making projects with reused materials; each class is about having fun and engaging students to become advocates for the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle movement.
