A ceremony honoring veterans is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, May 30, 2016, at Pinecrest Cemetery on A Street at 12th Avenue South. The free ceremony is expected to last one hour and is open to anyone who wants to attend. The Veteran’s Day ceremony is being organized by the city’s Public Services department along with the American Legion and an area Boy Scouts troop.
